About Kate
I grew up in a small town next to Concord New Hampshire. After graduation I found myself struggling with weight gain, this began my personal health journey and ignited my desire to become a Certified Personal Trainer. Within a year of being a personal trainer, I tore my Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and needed pre and post-operative physical therapy. That experience had such a profound effect on me that it changed the whole trajectory of my training career.
I sought out a specialty in pre and post injury training and exercise which are services less commonly seen in gyms. Learning about injury pathology, how to restore functional proficiency and increase motor function in those with injuries turned into a passion. With the skills and experience I have developed as a Master Personal Trainer and Medical Exercise Specialist over the past 20 years, I am able to educate my clients about their body, and build long lasting healthy habits both inside and outside the gym. Training is not just my career as I live by the healthy habits that I teach to my clients everyday. I enjoy an active lifestyle and use my knowledge to stay active now and well into the future.
Over the years I also enjoyed volunteering as the league trainer for Boston Roller Derby, and I tried my hand as an EMT through the Boston EMS Academy. As for my career as a trainer I have spent the past 20+ years working at fine-tuning my skills, continuing to learn, and gaining the expertise that only decades of experience can bring.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my wife, kids, and especially my adorable dog Katana. I love to mountain bike, hike, travel, spend time with family, work out, and make music. I enjoy life and take advantage of what the world has to offer.
